The Burlington Performing Arts Centre Welcomes Two New Board Members
BURLINGTON, ON – June 4, 2026 – The Burlington Performing Arts Centre (BPAC) is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Directors to the Burlington Theatre Board Inc. (BTB) Board of Directors. Together, they bring extensive leadership experience, diverse expertise, and a shared commitment to arts, culture, and community. Their appointments were confirmed at BTB’s Annual General Meeting held on May 25, 2026.
Joining the Board are:
Annie Huang: Annie is an entrepreneur, community leader, and former senior executive with Deutsche Bank, bringing more than 20 years of international experience in financial services, strategic consulting, and organizational leadership. As co-founder of Madison Point Capital and the Canada Academy of Music and Arts, she offers expertise in strategy, governance, risk management, organizational growth, and community engagement, along with a strong commitment to arts education and emerging talent development.
Nick Gewarges: Nick is a Burlington-based real estate broker and entrepreneur who leads The Nick Gewarges Real Estate Team. With more than two decades of experience across finance, technology, and real estate, he brings expertise in strategy, business development, stakeholder relations, negotiation, and organizational growth. Nick is also actively involved in the Burlington community and is a strong supporter of local organizations and initiatives.

The BTB Board of Directors plays a pivotal role in advancing BPAC’s mission to present and support a diverse range of professional and community-based performing arts. Guided by a commitment to artistic excellence, accessibility, and community impact, the Board helps ensure BPAC remains a vibrant gathering place where people connect through shared cultural experiences. Together, Board members champion the organization’s goal of fostering cultural vitality and ensuring the performing arts remain an essential part of everyday life in Burlington.
The new Directors join current Board members Jim Thompson (Chair), Kari Pimentel (Vice Chair), Dr. Anna Danielova (Chair, Audit and Risk Committee), Councillor Angelo Bentivegna, Emilie Cote, Carrie Gervais, Max Honiball, Raine Kearsey-Carter, Satwant Pannu, Sylvia Prentice, and David Quinn.
