While the Cuban missile crisis threatens to bring the world to an end, a decidedly quirky cast of characters attempts to navigate their own endings – or perhaps beginnings? Told through the lens of Iris’s childhood memories, we are invited into a world where things may not be as they seem. Did the death of Iris’s goldfish really cause the whole world to unravel? And when Iris finds her goldfish washed up on the beach in human form, is he really there to bring the whole world back into balance? As we connect to what it is to be truly human, this curious comedy reminds us that life is beautiful; not despite our imperfections, but because of them.
