Burlington’s own two-time JUNO nominee, baritone saxophonist Shirantha Beddage brings his brand of high-octane jazz back to BPAC. His original music combines hard bop and modern jazz to create a sound that is both accessible and sophisticated.

With the narrative theme of improvisation and the desire to surprise, the guitarist, composer, arranger, percussionist and sampler unveils bold and pleasantly complex music where freedom is king. Flirting at times with elements of traditional music, folk and song, he describes his music as electro-jazz.
Christine Tassan et les Imposteures

With a decade and a half of bringing their special blend of Gypsy jazz and revisited cover songs to audiences, Christine Tassan et les Imposteures have made a name for themselves on the music scene. The latest show of these four exquisitely talented musicians brings together some of the best works by Django Reinhardt, Félix Leclerc and American swing composers.

Steven Taetz is a Toronto-based vintage pop, swing, jazz singer and composer who has worked all around the world including Carnegie Hall, The Bitter End and Rockwood Music Hall (NY), The Rogers Centre (Toronto), Blue Room (Korea), Hotel Café (LA), and House of Jazz (Montreal). Since 2014, he has been focusing on the American Songbook and jazz standards, writing and recording traditional-pop, and swing originals. He has collaborated with leaders in Canadian jazz, including Barbra Lica, Michael Occhipinti, Drew Jurecka, Dawn Tyler Watson, George Koller, Ernesto Cervini, and Wendy Lands.
Heather Bambrick & Jodi Proznick: ‘East Meets West’

BC’s Jodi Proznick, bass, and Newfoundland’s Heather Bambrick, vocals, combine forces in a highly anticipated show that goes from coast-to-coast. Not only are Heather and Jodi considered two of Canada’s finest musicians, they are also JUNO nominees, full of brilliant music, and full-on entertainment. Heather Bambrick is a BPAC crowd favourite and audiences will be delighted by her most recent collaboration.
