Acclaimed Canadian blues and soul vocalist Shakura S’Aida will lead an engaging behind-the-scenes session designed especially for high school music students. The workshop begins with an informal concert warm-up and Q&A, giving students the chance to hear directly from a professional touring artist about life on stage and in the performance industry. Shakura will then introduce key ideas from her Confident Vocal Performance workshop, sharing practical tips on building vocal confidence and developing stage presence.
Through demonstration and discussion, students will gain insight into strategies to overcome nerves and express themselves more powerfully through music.
