A visually inventive theatre experience exploring imagination, perception, and the surprising images hidden in everyday objects. “PAREIDOLIA” is the mind’s ability to recognize concrete figures in abstract forms, like when we look at clouds, stains on a wall or the grain of wood.
When things are not what they seem. When you look closely and a jacket becomes a singer, a tutu becomes an ostrich, a plastic piece becomes a volcano.
Bodies in continuous transformation, shapes that come to life, seas of plastic that dance like giant waves. A poetic and comic universe that remains waiting in our daily lives to be discovered. A journey into the imagination without words where all you need to do is playfully observe the things that surround us to discover their stories.
This special performance will be shared by La Llave Maestra, an award-winning Spanish-Chilean company coming to Canada for three special performances – and we’re lucky to be one of them!
- The Arts: Imagination and creativity.
- Science: Seeing meaning and images in everyday objects (pareidolia).
- Language Arts: Visual storytelling without words.
- Social-Emotional Learning: Collaboration and play in the creative process.
