BPAC 2021 Virtual Education Series
With all field trips suspended for 2021 due to COVID-19, and in response to educators’ urgent need for curriculum-related digital performing arts content, BPAC is pivoting our live education and outreach program into a virtual performing arts education series. The goal of our Virtual Education Series is to digitally engage students in meaningful arts education learning, and to maintain BPAC’s connection with students and educators as a resource for industry expertise, arts career mentorship, and unique and inspiring performing arts experiences.
Our performing arts educational sessions are livestreamed from BPAC and can be digitally delivered directly into classrooms across the region. Our 2021 Virtual Education Series features extraordinary performances in music or theatre, as well as speaking engagements by industry professionals working in all aspects of the performing arts. These performances and speaking engagements can be followed up with a second livestream session where a curriculum-related virtual workshop and Q&A is delivered to the students. All sessions will be 50-60 minutes in length for secondary students, and up to 30 minutes for elementary grades.
1-hour artist talk focusing on drama (musical theatre), performing arts education and career paths.
A stunning, 60-minute performance by artists such as Phil Davis and Nikki Shawana, Kevin Fox, Twin Flames, and Tom Wilson.
