At the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to experience the power of live performance.
BPAC’s Golden Ticket Program helps remove financial barriers so that students who might not otherwise be able to attend can participate in our ONSTAGE Education Series. Through the generous support of sponsors and community partners, the program provides complimentary or subsidized tickets for schools and community groups serving students who face financial barriers.
Our goal is simple: to ensure that every student has the chance to experience the inspiration, creativity, and connection that live arts can bring.
If cost is a barrier for your school or students, we encourage you to reach out. We are committed to working with educators to help make these experiences accessible.

All shows are approximately 60 minutes in running length, unless otherwise notified.
Seating is pre-assigned, and determined by the order of reservation & accessibility needs, not the order of arrival. When you arrive, a volunteer will show your class to your assigned seats. It is up to the teacher to ensure appropriate distribution of teachers and other adults in your section.
Students should keep their belongings with them at all times and may store coats and other personal items below their seats. Backpacks and lunch bags are best left at school, as are cell phones and other devices. Coat Check will not be available.
All seats are $10.00 inclusive of all taxes and service charges.
We offer the following teacher/student ratio for each performance:
- (JK-6) Grades 1:10 = 1 Teacher is FREE for every 10 paid students
- (7-12) Grades 1:20 = 1 Teacher is FREE for every 20 paid students
- Each additional adult will be charged the same student fee of $10.00
- EA tickets are free of charge
> After you have made your reservation, a confirmation letter will be emailed to you. Please keep this for your records.
> A 30% deposit is due within 2 weeks of the reservation. Assuming availability, the reserved seats will be held until the deposit is paid. Your seats will not be confirmed until the deposit is paid. Failure to pay will result in release of seats.
> Final payment is due 2 weeks before the show date. A BPAC staff member will follow up 3 weeks before the show to obtain final payment.
> After the performance, a final receipt will be emailed to you. This will include the tax breakdown for your tickets.
The Burlington Performing Arts Centre is proud to be an accessible venue, and we welcome everyone to join in the magic of the performing arts. Accessible seating, complimentary tickets for EAs, and other accommodations can be arranged. Please indicate at time of booking if any students have special needs that may affect seating accessibility (ie: wheelchair access, behaviour issues, EA/attendant).
Bus Drop off
Please arrange for your bus driver to drop your class off 30 minutes prior to the performance start time. Out of consideration for performers and audience, latecomers will be seated at an appropriate interval. Please make every effort to be on time, and call the Box Office at 905-681-6000 if there are any delays.
Buses can only unload in the Bus Zone on Elgin Street, on the north side of The Burlington Performing Arts Centre. There will be BPAC staff members outside to greet you.
- Please stay on the bus with your class.
- A BPAC Volunteer will join you on your bus, remind the students of basic theatre etiquette, then escort your class to your assigned seats.
- There is no parking for buses at BPAC. Buses are not permitted on Burlington Avenue at any time.
After Drop Off
There is no parking for buses at BPAC. Buses are asked to move elsewhere for the duration of the visit. Mapleview Mall is a good alternative for bus parking.
Bus Pick up
- Buses must pick up students in the Bus Loading Zone ONLY.
- DO NOT park or idle on any side streets.
- Buses may need to circle the block until spaces become available.
Please arrange for your bus driver to pick up your class approximately 60 minutes after the performance start time. At the end of the performance, an announcement will be made from the stage indicating the order of buses waiting in the Bus Zone.
To make sure everyone in the audience and on the stage has a good time, we ask you to ensure that your students:
- Leave their phones at school
- Don’t take photos or videos during the show
- Applaud and cheer but don’t distract others with talking
- Stay seated to avoid disrupting the view for others
- Do not bring food into the theatre as it is not permitted
In the event of severe weather, BPAC may cancel an ONSTAGE Education Series performance if travel conditions are deemed unsafe for students, educators, artists, or staff. Schools will be notified as soon as possible via email and phone where necessary. If a performance is cancelled, BPAC will make every effort to reschedule the performance or transfer your booking to another ONSTAGE event, subject to availability. Schools are encouraged to follow their school board’s transportation and closure policies when making travel decisions.
School Transportation Cancellations
If a school board cancels buses or closes schools due to inclement weather, affected schools may choose not to travel to BPAC. In these cases, the ONSTAGE performance will proceed as scheduled for schools that are able to attend. Schools impacted by transportation cancellations should notify the BPAC Box Office as soon as possible. BPAC will make every effort to transfer affected bookings to another ONSTAGE Education Series performance, subject to availability.
Reservations & Payment
School bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and are confirmed once a booking confirmation has been issued by BPAC. Full payment is required by the date indicated on your invoice.
Refunds
All ONSTAGE Education Series bookings are final sale and non-refundable.
Adjusting Numbers
Schools may reduce their booking numbers up to three weeks prior to the performance date. The number of tickets confirmed at that time will be considered the final attendance count and schools will be responsible for payment of those seats regardless of attendance.
Additional seats may be added subject to availability.
Day-of Absences
No refunds will be issued for student or teacher absences on the day of the performance.
School Board Closures or Transportation Cancellations
If a school board cancels buses or closes schools due to inclement weather, the performance will proceed for schools that are able to attend. Schools impacted by transportation cancellations should notify the BPAC Box Office as soon as possible. BPAC will make every effort to transfer bookings to another ONSTAGE performance, subject to availability.
BPAC Cancellations
If BPAC cancels a performance due to severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, schools will be offered a rescheduled performance or credit/refund where rescheduling is not possible.
