DISCOVER BPAC LIKE NEVER BEFORE AT WANDER
Free Culture Days event brings 30+ artists to unexpected spaces throughout BPAC, followed by an evening fundraiser celebrating its 15th Anniversary Season.
BURLINGTON, ON – Sept 2026 – The Burlington Performing Arts Centre (BPAC) is throwing open its doors on Saturday, September 26 for WANDER – Art in Unexpected Places, a free afternoon of art, adventure and discovery created in celebration of BPAC’s 15th Anniversary Season and Culture Days. As evening falls, WANDER transforms into an elevated, ticketed fundraiser featuring curated artistic experiences, food, drinks and magic along the way.

From 1pm to 4pm, WANDER is completely FREE, inviting visitors of all ages to explore BPAC at their own pace and discover more than 30 artists bringing unexpected spaces to life through circus and acrobatics, dance, theatre, live music, visual art, storytelling, magic, immersive sound and interactive experiences.
Catch circus arts on the Plaza, help create a new piece of artwork for BPAC, make music with your cellphone in the orchestra pit and discover performances in spaces you may have never seen before.
“WANDER is about looking at what’s possible when we open up our building and invite artists to use it in unexpected ways,” says Annie Wilson, Director of Programming & Marketing. “We’re creating more opportunities for artists while giving our community a completely different way to experience BPAC.”

From 7pm to 10pm, EVENING WANDER takes the experience further with curated tours, special performances created especially for the evening, immersive installations, roaming artists and magic around every corner.
Guests will enjoy food from downtown Burlington favourites radius® on brant and 400 Brant Kitchen + Bar, along with two complimentary drink tickets. Tickets are $150, including a $50 charitable tax receipt, with proceeds supporting BPAC’s Community Access Programs and work as a not-for-profit charitable arts organization.
“Our evening event is an opportunity to be part of something special as we celebrate BPAC’s 15th Anniversary Season,” says Sara Palmieri, Executive Director. “It’s a chance to experience BPAC in a completely different way while supporting the Community Access Programs that help make the arts more accessible across our community.”
